Sophie Solow, MSW, is a dedicated therapist deeply committed to guiding individuals on their transformative journey to mental and emotional well-being. Her academic path took her to Loma Linda University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Master's Degree in Social Work. Complementing her holistic approach to care, she furthered her education with specialized training in nutrition and health and wellness through Harvard Medical School. Her practice is centered on her passion for assisting women as a certified birth doula, sexual assault victim advocate, and domestic violence advocate.
Her clinical expertise evolved during her advanced clinical training at Providence Saint Joseph Hospital, where she provided essential mental health support to psychiatric patients in crisis within the Emergency Department. This experience reinforced her unwavering belief in the power of empathy, active listening, and collaboration to ignite profound change in individuals' lives.
Sophie has devoted herself to the practice of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, striving to create a secure and nurturing environment for individuals to explore and heal from past traumas. In each therapeutic relationship, she emphasizes a wellness-focused approach, recognizing the importance of addressing all facets of a person's well-being. Her aim is to help individuals discover their strengths, build resilience, and nurture personal growth. Beyond her work, she seeks solace and inspiration in nature through hiking and swimming and cherishes time spent with her two cats, Luna and Mimi.
